You would see pollution causing a lot of problems to the world. This can be seen in the changes to the weather. You would see pollution causing so many effects to the environment, like the melting of ice caps and climate change. To prevent this, different countries are considering options that would help us lessen the emission of harmful gases that cause pollution and global warming. Fuel-powered vehicles are the number one cause of pollution. It is suggested that the use of bikes like fixie and mountain bikes as mode of transportation would greatly help us preserve the environment.

Bikes are powered by its rider. It does not require the use of fuel for it to run. It provides no emission at all. This is the reason why this would be the perfect mode of transportation that can replace fuel-powered vehicles that cause pollution. This is already being used today. You would see other countries that have adapted this simple machine as their mode of transportation. So far, this has been every effective for them. You would see this mostly in Asian countries like Vietnam and China.

A fixie bike not only takes you places but also give you good exercise. This provides great exercises to the lower extremities. In higher speeds, you can get a full body workout and even workout your abs. This improves balance and muscle and bone strength. The motion when you use a bicycle is very similar to walking or running. You can get great health benefits from walking and running. These activities are known to prevent heart problems, diabetes, and even known cancers. You get the same benefit in cycling. A good thing about bikes is that it does not have an age requirement. Even kids and the elderly can enjoy this exercise. You can use a mountain bike that offers adjustable speed for more intensity when you cycle.

The use of bicycles is great for the people who are concerned about their health. You can lose up to around 600 to 800 calories a day in an hour. This is just about the same time that you have to travel for work. If your do this 5 times a week, you lose around 3,000 to 4,000 calories. A pound is equal to about 3,500 calories. In a month, you are able to lose 4 pounds in just cycling an hour, five days a week. Imagine an hour of using your bike to work and an hour on your way back home. That would be 16 pounds in just one month alone. Investing on a fixie bike is a great deal.
